Dermal Fillers – Look Younger without Surgery
Dermal fillers can safely refresh your youthful appearance. Over time, your skin begins to lose naturally occurring components such as collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid (HA), causing you to look older than you feel. Hyaluronic dermal fillers rejuvenate your skin by replenishing the lost volume and stimulating the skin to produce more collagen.
Naturally Occurring Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring acid found within your skin that diminishes with age. It is responsible for about 50% of the skin structure that keeps your skin firm and plump. Once injected the hyaluronic acid instantly binds with the water within your dermis and helps fill in creases, lines and wrinkles. It can retain over 1,000 times its weight in water within the cells of the skin. This naturally occurring property makes it a safe and effective method for adding volume to the skin.

Combination Liquid Facelift
The liquid facelift that is sometimes called a “Natural Lift”, is a process of combining facial fillers with injectable muscle relaxants. This offers a non-surgical solution to effectively rejuvenate the overall appearance of your skin by reducing visible signs of aging at a fraction of the cost.
Injectable Muscle Relaxants
Injectable muscle relaxants are commonly used as a cosmetic treatment to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. When tiny quantities are injected into targeted wrinkle-forming muscles it blocks these nerve signals, causing the muscles to relax. Smooth Appearance with Low-density Gel
Our practice uses clinically proven BELOTERO BALANCE®, an injectable prescription gel that is used to temporarily smooth out and fill in moderate-to-severe etched-in lines and wrinkles around your lips and mouth. Belotero’s lower density makes it a superior option for filling much finer lines and wrinkles than higher density products.
Only BELOTERO BALANCE is created using the proprietary Cohesive Polydensified Matrix (CPM) process5:
- Produces a smooth, flexible gel
- Blends into the natural structure of your skin
- Gently fills stubborn etched-in lines and wrinkles
How Dermal Fillers Work
Untreated
Treated
The hyaluronic acid completely integrates into the natural structure of your skin adding volume to the skin tissue to create a smoother natural-looking skin tone while stimulating the production of collagen.
Dermal Filler FAQs
The filler injections themselves usually take five to thirty minutes per area. The entire appointment usually takes less than an hour making it a popular lunchtime appointment.
The procedure is simple and relatively quick. Depending on the treatment area Michael will either apply numbing cream or a local anaesthetic before injecting the fillers. The gel is injected into your skin superficially (higher up in the dermis than other fillers), using a fine-gauge needle. After Micheal injects the gel, he gently massages the area to spread the product for the desired effect. The number of injections and the amount of product used will depend on what you’re having done and the extent of the repair or enhancement required.
The results are immediate and last from six months to two years. More active areas that experience a lot of movement due to eating, talking, and smiling may not last as long as other less active areas.
The number of injections will depend on the area of your face that you want to smooth and the extent of the repair require to achieve the desired enhancement.
There is a little discomfort but we have several techniques to eliminate the discomfort. Depending on the site of injections, Michael will either apply a topical numbing cream or administer a local anaesthetic before the procedure to effectively eliminate pain and restrict the blood flow to reduce bruising.
Studies show that the Belotero® products are well-tolerated and belong to the safest dermal fillers available. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring product and therefore well-tolerated. The gel based products for wrinkle correction have been available for a long time and used in thousands of treatments.
